My toddler cousin is the bomb and wanted a mustache.  And she doesn’t even know my name yet.  Or my mustache, though she will be introduced before it is all said and done.  And people will promptly call the authorities on me.

It’s like the beautiful little Irish girl decided to look like Sam from Guess Who, but with hair.

Just days after we celebrated Frida’s birthday, reader (and new love of my life) Jenny Anne submitted a picture full of awewsome cranial accessories.  Perched atop her dome is a kickass fedora, on her nose sit stylish spectacles, and on her upper lip the clincher: a perfectly symmetrical, definitely real*, handlebar. 

In the picture, she is taking a break from Stachist to read the New York Times.  Which is a little more consistent in its output of content.

* I may have slightly exaggerated authenticity of Jenny Anne’s stache.

Frida Kahlo, the world’s most famous mustachioed (and unibrowed) female is honored today, the 103rd anniversary of her birth, by being the subject of the Google doodle.

She’s also one of the two females in Stachist’s masthead collage.

Oh Miss Olivia Valencia.  Soooo hot.  Want to touch the mustache.  A-woooooo-ooooo.

Jean-Marc grew his from scratch, but he is getting dethroned by a new stache.  The fingerstache (temporary tattoo?) that Miss Valencia sports is, well, tantalizing.  Celebrating the mustache has never looked so good.

We always choose to believe that attractive girls sit at home constantly updating their browsers, of which Stachist is the homepage, taking breaks only to submit pictures of themselves, completely and utterly in love with Stachist, wanting nothing more than to scream our name from the top of a mountain.  This case is clearly no exception.

So this post is a couple months late, but last September, at the 2009 Emmy awards, Sarah Silverman pranked everyone by wearing a fake mustache while the award for Outstanding Lead Actress in a Comedy Series was being presented. She, of course, was on of the nominees. She did an amazing job of keeping a straight face while the camera was on her and should have won just for that antic. Shenanigins!

The iMustache iPhone app lets you add an assortment of different mustaches to any pictures or photos you take with your camera. The app features a wide assortment of mustache styles and colors including the classic Groucho Marx eyebrow/glasses/nose/mustache disguise. It also lets you resize and rotate the stache to get it just right.

Of course, the app will mostly be used to be-stache women, as demonstrated in the sample here. Men, on the other hand, can just grow their own.

Congratulations to Entertainment Weekly on a fantastic cover featuring not only Sandra Bullock with a mock stache, but also a glimpse of Avatar and a shout out to Mainer Stephen King.

Remember when Monopoly was a board game? Nowadays it’s a game you play at McDonald’s, or in the case of Minnesota, the state lottery. At least you win actual money.

They’re utilizing Mr. Monopoly’s iconic, white mustache to promote the scratchers.

In a TV commercial spot, “[t]he white handlebar mustache usually seen on Mr. Monopoly finds its way onto game players growing their moneystaches.” In this case it’s a young blond woman growing a huge white stache.

They also have the mustache stuck onto mirrors in bars and restaurants.
