It’s generally hard for people out in cyberland to submit a picture of their stache and immediately (or at all, for that matter) see it on this site.  Writer burnout, combined with laziness, makes it virtually impossible for a fast turnaround.  But sometimes, special staches shoot right to this page like bottle rockets.   Oftentimes in these cases, having an awesome name is just as important as having an awesome mustache.  Case in point, Chris Porker, to the left.

When a “Submit Your Stache” pops up in my inbox from someone with a name as badass as Chris Porker, I take notice.  When that person also has one of the sweetest staches to ever grace this page, I crack my knuckles and get writing.

What do you get when you combine the two?  A post two hours after he submitted his stache.  Oh, to be porked by that stache.  Now that is the dream.

Kaan, pictured to the left with the sweet almost handlebar stache, has everything you could possibly want in a Stachist.  First and foremost, he has a mustache.  That is necessary.  But there is more.  His email handle is simply 12Dangerous, which, we have to assume is 12 times more dangerous than the fool whose email is just Dangerous.

Our challenge to Kaan is to extend the handlebar to a length that he can miraculously have the tips reach through his hoop earrings.  If he sends back a picture of that, we will have no problem crowning him “Stache of the Year.”

Nigel Barris is a man of his word.  On April 10th, commenting on our brilliant post about DIY Sweatpant Staches, he was so inspired by the pants that he pondered growing a stache in order to submit his to us.  Just over two weeks later, on April 26th, we received the picture to the left.

Nigel has an MTV Stache.   That is, he could easily be a white rapper or skateboarder.  On the wall behind him, drawings of Bob Marley and a seductively posed woman hang.  If you listen closely, you can hear Miike Snow’s newest album in the background.

I want to hang out with Nigel.  But most of all, I want to thank him.  For promising, and delivering, a stache.

A Stachist fan came across the (scary?) masterpiece to the left on tumblr and sent it in.  We always love the submitted staches- but the nude pictures of beautiful girls are getting a little overwhelming.  We got into this for the love of the stache.  Nothing more, nothing less.  When the first topless photo came in, we were understandably surprised and excited, but 13,736 later (that’s 27,472 breasts by the way), we’re not sure we want to see any more boobs.

But we do love innovation, and this hairstyle is just that.  We’re calling it “The Grinch’s Legs”.   Little Cindy Lou Who has been put on notice.
